How biological membranes achieve selective transport
In this article we look at the structure of the plasma membrane and at the proteins that enable the movement of different kinds of molecules across the membrane in the desired direction only. We see how several transport proteins work together in transporting nutrients across the plasma membrane of an epithelial cell from the human intestine.
