Countryfile 2009 - The Isle of Wight, home to the largest sailing regatta in the world, is where Julia Bradbury and Matt Baker go to find out why the Solent is such a magnet for sailors. Julia visits the Garlic Farm in the Arreton Valley also cheesemaker Richard Hodgson famous for his Gallybagger cheddar and Isle of Wight blue cheeses. Matt travels to the Needles battery and High Down where in the 1950s Britain joined the space race and rocket technology with the Black Knight (rocket).
Countryfile 2012 -On a visit to Mottistone on the Isle of Wight, Matt Baker sees where a real warrior war horse became a legend. While at Compton Bay, Ellie Harrison tests an original 50 year old surfboard with video footage from that era. Ellie also visits Shanklin Chine, with its steep sided valleys created by running water and its unique microclimate of flora, fauna, liverworts, lichens and ferns. James Wong spends a day at Quarr Abbey with the Benedictine monks, to experience their daily routine.
Countryfile 2014 -The team reports from the Isle of Wight, where Matt Baker witnesses restoration work on Britain's oldest pier in Ryde and Ellie Harrison visits Queen Victoria's island home, Osbourne House, and private beach with its own bathing machine. Ellie also visits Bouldnor Forest where the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust have been hosting woodland sessions for nursery age children and older islanders with mental health issues.
Countryfile 2016 - Isle of Wight: Matt and Anita explore the Isle of Wight. Matt abseils down the walls of Carisbrooke Castle, while Anita is on Ventnor Downs helping to round up feral goats.

Countryfile 2019 -This month marks 200 years since Queen Victorias birth, so Countryfile is exploring the Victorian fascination with nature and the great outdoors with a visit to Osborne House in East Cowes. The programme also includes a look into the controversial decision to grant a licence to reintroduce sea eagles to the Isle of Wight. Two Scottish farmers are interviewed about how the introduction of sea eagles has affected them, with emphasis on sheep farming and the ecosystem
